If you can't grow your own food, buy it directly from a local farmer! This is a link to local CSA's (Consumer Supported Agriculture: Pay a farmer at the beginning of the growing season, for the following season's produce. You can pick up or get it delivered, depending on the CSA). This is a wonderful system. We have personally bought through CSA's for years, and many of our customers are CSA farmers and subscribers.
